The Ground & Release

Your body accumulates tension throughout the day. Small moments of stress that never fully complete. Activation that doesn't find anywhere to go. This practice gives your nervous system permission to discharge what it's holding, in 60 seconds.

How to Practice

1. Stand with feet hip-width apart. Feel the ground beneath you.

2. Shake your hands vigorously for 10 seconds, like you're shaking off water.

3. Stomp your feet alternately, letting your whole body bounce slightly.
10 stomps each foot.

4. Take a deep breath in, raise your shoulders to your ears, and hold for 3 seconds.

5. Release everything with an audible sigh—drop your shoulders, soften your jaw, let your breath fall out.

6. Stand still. Notice what shifted.

Why This Works

This practice works with your body's natural discharge mechanisms. The shaking and stomping release stored activation. The shoulder tension and release complete the cycle.

Use This Practice

• After intense conversations
• When you feel "wired but tired"
• Before transitioning from work to home
• Anytime your body feels like it's holding more than it needs to

Your nervous system wants to release.
You just need to give it permission and a pathway.
